I have a nifty knitter and when I knit it makes a loop that keeps getting bigger?

Every time I pull a loop over the peg the excess gets a little bit longer, and just keeps accumulating until the loop is longer than my arm! can you help me?

After you make your loop you pull the excess to the yarn still to be used. That way you get an even result that should not have your problems.





But if you have excess on the previous row you can bring that forward to the stitches you still have to knit, all the way till you get to where the yarn is not yet used. (Normally knitters do not use this method but knot tyers do it all the time.)





When you get your excess out, do not let it build up again, work the excesses that might start back into the work rather than taking it with you.


If you work a bigger loop back into the work you will not see a difference, (because that is where the yarn should have been in the first place.)


You might notice a difference between what you have done so far and what you do from now on, that is because you have started working too tight, but working the excess evenly into your work so far is hard to do.
