What is the history of the brand name chicksan ?

Chicksan swivels are a US product widely used in oil field applications. They consist of swivel joints %26amp; Chicksan loops. They are designed to pump all kinds of fluids %26amp; pressures. Where did the name chicksan come from.

What is the history of the brand name chicksan ?
Chicksan (in your case) is a registered trade name, and as such doesn't really have to "mean" anything.

It then became a "common expression" (like Hoover or Kleenex), for example, I saw this expression also used in other elbow joints which are not pipe and fluid related.

The word as such exists in Japanese language, and means something like "little fellow".
