I've been invited to fly with a popular Flight Demonstration Team in Pensacola the weekend of 11/09. What can I do NOW to avoid flight sickness and take the g-stress, loops, and rolls that will inevitably take place. Any diet suggestions, workout routines, etc. would be appreciated. I don't wanna puke in anybody's jet.

How can I prepare for a high G flight demonstration....?
Well it is not like a roller coaster. That ends in a minute or so. These are extended manouvers.
If you did it on a regular basis a regular weight training routine would be good, however you have little time.
Practice straining your stomach and hip muscles. Yes almost like taking a dump.
Breathe in and hold your breath while straining. This is to be done while the g's are coming on. With practice it becomes routine.
The day of the flight do not have milk, or a heavy breakfast.
Have fruit that you like that is easy on the stomach. Have a little something in your stomach about 1 hour before flight. You may get butterflies prior to the ride. Just part of the excitement.
They probably will give you a security bag to carry. I usually ask after every manouvre how the passenger feels. I will not let them projectile in my plane. Any good pilot will ensure that.
When you are into the manouvers look to the horizon for reference as this keeps your inner ear in tune with your eyesight.
If you stare inside during the rolls and such you will get sick.
The stable horizon will keep you orientated level.
G training takes time. Your body must get used to it.
Sit back enjoy the ride. Roll your head with the manouvers, not against them. It saves your neck.
That being said there is not a lot of preperation you can do other than anticipation.
I will leave with one rule of thumb.................
The one food pilots do say to eat that is good are bananas.
They taste the same coming up as going down.
Cheers!
Reply:start working out, don't eat anything that morning, and if U have to, eat a banana (tastes the same going down as comming up), and look up on the internet some military G-training videos.
Reply:start by skipping breakfast, take a couple axid and a drammamine. Got a valium or ativan? that wouldn't hurt either.
Hang on. Lots of folks enjoy such rides. Hope you do too.
Reply:Don't eat between now and then.
And call me, I'll go in your place.
Reply:Don't work out too much, a high resting heart rate helps with the Gs.
