I went to the pet store yesterday to get a harness leash for my kitten for when I take her outside. Not only is it really confusing (there are a lot of loops) to put it on her, she's too hyper and keeps playing with the string so I can't get it on. Any tips?

That is the best advice, I have ever heard. The stuffed animal is a good idea. Once you master this, you need to choose your time. If you go to your kitten while it is sleeping and all relaxed, it will be easier. Although, it is still hard because they have a lot of play in them, when they are young. Maybe you could get someone to help hold her while you put it on. Be prepared though. Once you get it on, your kitten will go crazy trying to get it off. She will probably walk backwards and do some really weird stuff in the beginning. Make plans to walk your first three walks inside, where you kitty feels safe. make sure she cannot get out of the harness, before you ever adventure outside. Also, she is growing very quickly. You will probably have to adjust size very often to keep from hurting her. It took a really long time to train mine to actually WALK when it was on the harness, but once it got the idea, it did fine.

Reply:Cats don't like harnesses. There might be instructions on how to put it on. I got one for my cat and it's still confusing, you'll find that she wouldn't want to walk with the harness, I gave up on mine. But if yours is still a little kitten then it'll be easier to train, hope you have luck training her.
Reply:Try it on a stuffed animal first until you get it figured out.
Then choose a time when your kitten is tired from playing, put it on her and let her wear it a bit until she gets accustomed to having it on.
Reply:keep your demeanor as calm as possible. try sliding the harness over the cats head 1st. then stop pet and praise the cat staying calm. then try to get one paw then the next. It may take a few times of just putting it over the cats head then trying the next step. Once my cat got it on and I took him out the 1st time I never had trouble again. Only that he would get so excited that we were going out that he would stand for a sec. let me start then run to the door before I could get it on.
If the slow, calm and steady doesn't work try giving him another toy to keep him/her occupied. Being young they are curious and active so anything seems to be a toy.
You can also try to put it on while he's napping.

My cat uses his teeth to grab the loops in the carpet and has torn them loose from the backing. Is there any way to fix this?

you will have to call a carpet installer and they will cut out the bad spot and replace it with another piece.hopefully you have saved some of the carpet from when it was originally installed because it is impossible to get an exact match for carpet that is already installed.if not they may be able to use a piece from a closet.but in either event i wouldnt expect any miracles

How do I attach handles to blue jean purses?
I made a couple of those purses using the top part of old jeans, but how do I attach a handle? If I go front to back, the button and zipper are in the way. If I go side to side, the belt loops are in the way. Any thoughts?

i would go side to side. belt loops are easy to remove and replace. you could take the belt loop off at the top, sew on your handle and then just stitch the belt loop back in place going thru all layers. it will also make you handle very sturdy. also have you thought about just attaching the handle to the belt loops.

try to put the song into your computer in say a wav. file, start up fruity loops and open a new file, right click on any of the tabs that show your drums or whatnot, you know the main work area, then go to download sample, find your sample and download it into that patch. now it'll be the whole song, click on the tab for the sample and a box will open, click the button on the top left, i forget what it is but it'll drop a menu with a few more options. click on fruity slicer and now you can go in and edit out the parts of the song you don't want. once that is done save that as a new file and your sample is ready, i don't how to get it into your boss thingie though.

Reply:All over the world, the R/C guys are a very friendly lot. I would suggest you go over and say hello to them. They would guide you to the nearest hobby shop and advise you on prices as well. Buy a docile trainer and a 4 channel radio. This radio can handle all advanced flying as well. From the trainer, you can progress on to your first low wing aircraft and then onto the aerobatic planes.
A very rough guess - basic trainer %26amp; radio %26amp; engine would be within $ 800 to 1,000.
R/C is a very enjoyable and rewarding hobby. Go for it and you will never regret your decision. I wish you all the best and lots of happy landings.

How do you make home made pants?

Don't listen to that other person! I make pants to wear at home all the time. The best thing is to use a simple pattern designed for beginners. It will provide you with all the steps you need to get great looking pants. There are many sewing classes across the country at sewing centers and in community education classes that teach people how to do this exact thing.
My favorite technique is to sew the front and back of each leg together to form half of the pant. Now sew the front from the bottom of the zipper to the end of that section. Insert the zipper using a mock fly front technique or an invisible zipper technique. (you need to buy a special zipper and zipperfoot for your machine for invisible zippers, but you get a really nice product in the end.) Then sew from the back to the bottom. Lastly sew from ankle to ankle. Hem and insert a waistband. Use elastic for your first pair, you won't regret that and you can always change the technique later. Remember to buy you pattern by your hip measurement. Don't pay any attention to the size number of the pattern. You will wear a bigger sized pattern than you do in ready-to-wear. I wear two sizes bigger.

Why is my forced-hot-water system heating when the circulator pump is not running?
I have a forced-hot-water heating system with three zones, first floor, second floor, and water tank. After some maintenance on the system the second floor is constantly heating, even though the thermostat is off. I checked the voltage on the circulator pump and it is zero, so the pump is not running. It sounds like it is acting like a gravity-fed system. There are manual valves on the system, but the only things in the loops that are controlled by the thermostats are the circulator pumps. Do the pumps act as valves when they are not pumping? That was my guess so I replaced the pump, but my registers are still hot. If the pump does NOT act as a valve, what is supposed to prevent the hot water from moving through the system when the pumps are not running? I need some HVAC basics here. Thanks!

I am a Pilot looking to purchase a plane that will do Light Aerobatics such as loops, rolls and +/- 4 g Aerobatics. Any Suggestions?

Being an aerobatic pilot for most of my flying career, I wouldn't recommend a decathlon for two reason, the are over priced for what they do. The second is that all the maneuvers are slow. The first aerobatic aircraft I bought was a Christen Eagle II. All my friend were telling me to buy a Decathlon or Citabria. My Instructor who is a professional pilot for United and a precision aerobatic pilot told me to buy an Eagle. I flew in a Decathlon a while after I got my Eagle and I will never go back in a Decathlon. It's roll and climb rate is nothing compared to and eagle. If you have the money I would recommend you purchase a Pitts S2B or S2C. Before 9/11 happened I owned and Extra 300S, I decided to sell it after I got laid off. I am now back into aerobatics a have purchased a Pitts S2C, it does everything I want to do, the only thing is it does not roll as fast as the Extra. If you really want ot fly aerobatics, skip the Citabria's and Decathlon's and go straight to an Eagle. Good Luck and have fun.

The Citabria can loop roll, snap roll, fly inverted and has a rating of +5g -2g.
It is an exceptional plane to build time on.
The cost of operating is fairly low compared to other comparable aircraft. You can purchase one for 50-60k with around 3000hrs tt. Insurance was affordable and the 150hp it has gives decent fuel burn.
It is not squirrelly on the ground like a Pitts, but it is a taildragger. All taildraggers have a tendency to want to turn tail first. Get an endorsement first by qualified instructors.
After a few years you will want to step up. I did. Right into an Extra.

Not sure of what you'd pay for a good Citabria but there's not much the Pitts can do that a Citabria can't with the average pilot at the controls. I've been away from light aircraft for a number of years now so haven't kept up with all the developments but I'll bet there are several to choose from. Another good point about the Citabria is that it's a tail dragger so it makes a decent back country airplane as well. Not many people fly tail draggers anymore and I think you'll find it a whole new flying experience. Trust me, landing will never be boring again. And in my opinion, It'll make you a hell of allot better pilot. Have fun and be careful.

How can you fix the bent under needle on a provocraft sew crafty?
i just bought this machine and it sews but the stitches aren't picking up. when i went to the website they said that the needle underneath that loops the thread might be bent but no other information for me to work with. if anyone has had this happen pls let me know how to fix it. thanks.

What does Shoot Loops mean?
I don't think it has anything to do with basketball - like shoot hoops. I've heard the term when someone said, "We used to get drunk and shoot loops." I have no idea what it is though.

How do you tell a difference between a loop, lutz and salchow jump?
I can never diffenrentiate between those 3 jumps. An axel and toe loop is easy to recognize, but the other 3... I've no idea. Also, are there any jump combinations that is not allowed in figure skating? And lastly, Is Timothy Goebel the only figure skater to have ever successfully complete a quadruple-quadruple jump combination?

Lutzes are from right over left backward crossovers, they reach back with their right foot and then take off from the toe pick.
I don't think that there are any combination jumps that aren't allowed, but I do know that back and front flips were banned sometime in the seventies or eighties and can only be done in exhibitions.
As love2figureskate said, I don't think anybody has landed a quad-quad combination. (Also, Kurt Browning was the first to land a quad [it may not have been in competition, but he did land one], not Timothy Goebel) I skated with Timothy Goebel about three months before he retired, it was amazing!

i love music and making beats but my creativity is limited to my imagination. i keep having mental inspirations about producing mad beats.i installed fruity loops on my system but it looks complicated. Can someone send me a link or something to enable me learn fruity loops. the basics is okay for a start

But you can check out http://www.warbeats.com for their video tutorials. That's one of the best FL tutorial websites around. =)
Eventually you'll have to upgrade your software, if you want to be a serious producer. Music is NOT cheap. I bought my AKG Perception 100 condenser mic. for $100 (retail is $200) and my M-Audio AudioBuddy mic. pre. for $80 (retails at ~$130). So if you want to be serious, you'll have to fork over some money. =P
I do recommend anyone to start with FL Studio. It's a simple piece of software, though it may not seem that way to you right now. =P LoL. But just be glad you didn't try to start with DigiDesign's ProTools or Apple Logic Pro. LoL.
I've only been doing music for a few years. I have to upgrade my software or spend money on a GOOD plug-in before I can do anymore music. I'm already pushing FL to its extremes. LoL.
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't get some good sounds out of it. Check my sources for my MySpace Music page. The only song on there is one that my bro and I did, and I produced it using FL Studio. That just goes to show that FL Studio can do some pretty amazing things.

Reply:Fruity Loops is very easy, just start playing around with it. The intro will include a kick, snare, high-hat I believe and their should be a tempo available like 120bpm. Think of the 16 grey boxes next to the kick/snare/high-hat as 16th notes ... simply stated for kick 1100000010000000 for the snare 0000100000001000 and high-hat 1000100010001000 that is just simple and you can switch it up do whatever you are feeling. On the left side panel their are instruments that you can right click and add to the playing field. Use them for the melodies etc. Right click instruments to put into 'piano roll' switch up the keys to make a song. you might notice a 1-9 squares at the top these are the different tracks lets say. The instruments you are playing with will be on every one, just different to however you change it. To make a song, change them up and add aside from looping each track you can include them into a musical scenario of organization, just unclick the lit box for loop and I cannot think of the exact words but play around with right clicks and you'll find an area to add tracks to make a whole song, hope that helps, ask some more questions on here if you need any help, I love Fruity Loops it makes you a real digital musician with a lot of effort and dedication.

Don't have FL installed here, so I can't directly pinpoint the answer, but have you tried sliding in the piano roll? Play a deep note, and then slide it upwards using the triangle? You get that woosh sound the same way, without having to do it with Sytrus. If you really need to know it the sytrus way, I'll come back to you later :)

Can you have a ground loop if you plug two stero systems into the electrical outlet?
I get this horribile feedback buzzing sound from my stero system when I try to connect by XM Radio to two seperate stereos using two RCA cables with a splitter. Someone told me I probably have a ground loop that is causing the buzzing sound. So, I tried plugging both stereos into the same outlet using an extension cord, but I still get the buzzing sound.
Could it be something else that's giving me the feedback sound?

What would be a good covering for the sharp glue used to seal ealastic ribbon etc on clothes?
I bought a corset which has loops for garter straps at the bottom, but the ends of the elastic loops are glued together and the type of glue is very very sharp. My friend had he same problem with a corset she bought and she ended up getting cuts from the glue type material. I'm thinking maybe rubber cement or finding a liquid rubber that drys to put over the sharp parts but I'm not sure where to get that. If anyone knows or has a better suggestion, that would be great.

File them down with an emery board or nail file/buffer
Have a piece of cloth like moleskin sewn or fabric glued over the sharp spots.
Cut the straps and sew them where they were glued before.
Put a Band-aid or some clear medical tape over the sharp or on you skin where it might cut you.

Have a piece of cloth like moleskin sewn or fabric glued over the sharp spots.
Cut the straps and sew them where they were glued before.
Put a Band-aid or some clear medical tape over the sharp or on you skin where it might cut you.

Anyone who is familiar with Fruity Loops might know of the feature that lets you use your regular keyboard as a piano.

Is it possible to connect a synthesizer keyboard like the Korg X50 or the Yamaha MM6 and use it with fruity loops?

To be fair, though, the sounds from those synths will dwarf any of the sounds in FL Studio, so you'll probably want to hook up audio at some point, as well.

A nested loop is a inner loop encased in the loop body of another outer loop. The inner or outer loop can be any type: while, do while, or for.

Does the filling loop on a Worcester Junior 28i combi boiler need to be removed after filling the system?
I have successfully filled this boiler to the correct pressure for the Worcester Junior 28i using the filling loop, offered as an accessory by Worcester and purchased separately, and all is working well. My question is should this filling loop be left permanently in position during operation of the boiler or should it be removed and the original brass blanking plugs re-fitted?

It 'should' be disconnected as per the water regs to remove the possibility of the heating water contaminating the mains supply if the double check valves fail. The same applies to the key filling loops on most worcesters. If you are happy to run the negligable risk then leave it on.

the pressure on the pipes is nothing compared to the expansion and contraction caused by heating/cooling.
plus if you remove it and bleed the radiators and lose it then you will not have a working heating until you find it..
You should bleed radiators every year so it makes sense to keep it in place.

On the mains side of the loop there is a stop valve and on the heating side there is a double check valve. Many things have to go wrong for there to be a problem.
Someone said you needed to bleed your radiators once a year - not so. If the system is well designed and has no leaks, you shouldn't get any air in the system. If you ARE constantly getting air and having to top up the system, your radiators could fail prematurely. Make sure you have a corrosion inhibitor added to the heating system water.

If you go to Google Earth and look at 53°20'54.51"N 2°14'5.31"W, you will find Styal SSW of Manchester. If you zoom out to 40000 feet and turn on Rail in layers (and turn off road and highways because there are so many of them) you will get the rail lines and see that the section going through Styal is rather straight and isolated from the main line. Back out further to spot Crewe to the south and Manchester to the north.

I went to Kings Island this summer and was disappointed to find that the loop had been removed from the roller coaster. What happened, when and why?

Now, I guess that's expected on wooden coasters from time to time, but there were apparently enough broken on Son of Beast to cause some real problems... hence the people getting injured on the ride (don't know the extent of their injuries).
So, the ride was shut down for awhile and it was determined that the ORIGINAL ride trains were too heavy for the wooden structure. I guess they were "extra" heavy ride trains for going through the loop in the first place...
They brought in "lighter" ride trains, to keep from braking anymore wooden supports, but that meant getting rid of the "infamous" loop!!
I think it's pretty ridiculous that these problems weren't solved in the pre-production stage of the rides development!! But, I guess with the ride being the tallest and fastest woody, and only wood coaster with a loop (even though the loop was made of steel) they must've overlooked some things...???
Really a shame, although I was lucky enough to ride it a couple of summers ago when it still had the loop... The ride was so rough it was pretty hard to enjoy...
So, the original Beast is still my favorite coaster!!

Is there any significant advantage in a loop connection for recessed lighting.?
When I installed my Malibu lights (12 lamps) one option for connecting was the loop circuit for which the instruction manual says gives a more even brightness of each lamp. I did it that way. Now I am connecting my recessed ceiling lights (6 lamps) and I am curious if the loop method has a significant advantage over a straight parallel. Or am I just overkilling it.

no there is no advantage. it's better to run your wires the right way. recessed lighting does not draw much electrical current. the only thing to make sure of is when you put your recessed lighting in is make sure you have the right fixtures.you either need insulated or non insulated ceiling fixtures.insulated means you can have the insulation in your ceiling up against your fixture and non insulated must have the insulation at least no less then 3" from the fixture.if it less than 3" it could cause the insulation to get hot and cause a fire.

How do I fix a broken bra loop?
I just bought a $50 bra from Victoria's Secret not too long ago, and the loop that affixes the convertible strap on the back of the bra has ripped completely off. I tried pinning it, but the strap won't hold. I went to both Victoria's Secret stores in my area and neither one had replacement loops, nor did JoAnne Fabrics, Michael's, or AC Moore. Does anyone know how to put in a tail extension for a horse?
I'm just starting to show on the Paint circuit. Most of the horses wear tail extensions during their classes to make their tails look really thick. I recently bought a switch, but it looks awful when I put it in. My horse's tail is fairly long but only medium thick, and the tiny braids that I use to connect the switch to her tail are too obvious. It is the type of switch with two horsehair loops at the top, it is 1 lb in size. Is the top knob of the switch supposed to lay below the horse's tail bone, or lay on top of the bone? I've been using two tiny braids by the tail bone and then connecting each loop to a braid and then rebraiding. If anyone has any tips or suggestions I would love them. Help!
Does anyone know how to put in a tail extension for a horse?
This is one of the best sights that explains the how to's of putting in an extension. I personally prefer the one with the hole in the top that you stick a braid in and knot off. These are the easiest for me to put in. The switch should sit just at the end of the tailbone. Anything else looks very fake. I have also tried the hide on ones and could never get that one to stay in. Good Luck!

What is a good material to use when building a model roller coaster?
For this project it is required that the roller coaster has 2 full loops and also 2 hills. It cannot take up an area of greater then 75 cm x 75cm x 100 cm high. Myspace not validating my email, loops me back to the login..Any suggestions?
Mine was doing that one day and it turned out my IE had updated itself and I had to re-add myspace.com to the allowed websites in the security section. It was not accepting cookies or something like that.
I've also had it not accept my log in when I've tried to use the incorrect password and also when I have tried to just hit "enter" instead of clicking on the submit button.
And last, but not least, it has done it when myspace.com is going through their own updates. Usually if I wait an hour or so, it will then go through without any problem.

Is there any significant advantage in a loop connection for recessed lighting.?
When I installed my Malibu lights (12 lamps) one option for connecting was the loop circuit for which the instruction manual says gives a more even brightness of each lamp. I did it that way. Now I am connecting my recessed lights (6 lamps) and I am curious if the loop method has a significant andvantage over a straight parallel. Or am I just overkilling it.

I have fruity loops the demo does anyone know how to make beats using fruity loops programs?
First of all, you cannot save projects in the demo version, so don't bother making the best beats in the world, they will automatically delete when you turn FL off.
As for the rest, it is quite self-explanatory actually. You have a sequencer where you can load samples in. Make a nice pattern of e.g. a kick (just try 4x 1 kick). Then you make another pattern with e.g. a cool hihat, etc. etc. Then you go to the playlist. Put your pattern in there. Click play (make sure you have it on "song" and not "pattern", et voila: you made your first beat.

Im from Mexico, but i have 2 days asking this question, i know this software was created in Belgium, so i think someone from Europe must know this software, and tell me what do you think of this software in an extensive way, and if im worng to think is the best music recording software, even if i tried and used pro-tools, and sonar.

I did. My mom and grandma never turned them down when I gave them as Christmas presents, they had drawers full.

How do I use a midi keyboard with Fruity loops 5XXL?
First, make sure the MIDI In and MIDI Out ports on the keyboard are connected to your computer, either with standard midi cables, like these:

To test it out, go to the Channels menu, select "Add one", and pick any synth you like (like 3xosc, Fruity DX10, ...). Play a few notes. If it makes sound, you're good. If not, something went wrong.
After you're hooked up, the MIDI possibilities of Fruity Loops are virtually endless. Right-click on pretty much any knob or slider in the program (except VST plugins, unfortunately), select "Link to controller...", twiddle whatever knob or move whatever slider you want to use on your keyboard, and hit "Accept".

I've somehow done something to the Garageband loops audio file and now it says "Path Does Not Exist Library/Audio/Apple Loops Index"
Now None of my songs appear in my Loops Browser. Is there a way to get them back???

go the folder itself to see if they are still there. if they are, just drag them back to the loop browser. if they aren't do a finder search for garageband to see if they have become misplaced. If the search finds them, just drag them back to the correct folder and then to the loop browser. If they aren't found, you'll have to reload ilife. make sure you back up all of your projects before you do though because it will overwrite them.

On fruity loops 7, how do i burn the beats onto a cd?
First make sure that it is in Song mode and not Pattern mode. Thats near the top of the screen. Next, goto file then Save as. Choose which folder you want to save it in, and on the drop down box on the bottom under where you name it, click it and choose MP3. After you hit ok then you Start Rendering. I have never gone on a roller coaster with loops..but yes with drops..which is worse? drops or loops?

You don't need a MIDI controller. I've used my computer keyboard until I got a 25 Key Novation USB controller, but, its not MIDI. Using a keyboard controller gives you more option like velocity and octaves and timing. Use a USB one though because MIDI can be a bit complicated to work with.

When I open mail in Netscape 8.1, having previously selected BETA version, a script failure occurs, and I get into a continous loop with the BETA continuing to display an error message. How can I shut down the Mail BETA version from outside the Mail program, and revert back to my original version when using Netscape?

Help with keyboard connection to computer with Fruity loops 7!!!!?
Hello Everyone i have an ashton ak 250 keyboard, a mistar midilink(midi to usb) for it and fruity loops 7. Now i have many problems:
i have connected the usb part of the cable to the part to the computers usb port and the midi "in" %26amp; "out" parts to their respective connections on my piano the computer says it has discovered the keyboard but simply says instrument and hardware installed now when i enter fruity lopps i go to midi settings and to midi imports and outports it simply says usb device in the imports which i assume is my piano i have no idea what remote i have to choose but when i choose generic remote it says drivers not installed and i received no software with the cable or piano i am at a complete loss at what to do i wish to record and control the piano roll on fl via my piano keyboard i would like to know how to do this and to connect my keyboard successfully to my pc any help would be greatly appreciated sorry about the length but i thought detail would be important

OK, first connect one thing at the time and restart your PC every time you do this (only for the first time until all is sorted, after that you wont need to do this) by doing this you will know exactly witch of the peripherals is giving you problems.
If what your PC is asking is for the drivers and you do not have a disk, do a google search by typing the name of the manufacturer and the word drivers after, this should bring you to a page where you can download the drivers free.
Once you've done this come back and let me know if it worked, if not we try a few other things :)

Factorials - The factorial of n (written n!) is the product of the integers between 1 and n. Thus 4! = 1*2*3*4 = 24. By definition, 0! = 1. Factorial is not defined for negative numbers.
1. Write a program that asks the user for a non-negative integer and computes and prints the factorial of that integer. You'll need a while loop to do most of the work -- this is a lot like computing a sum, but it's a product instead. And you'll need to think about what should happen if the user enters 0.
2. Now modify your program so that it checks to see if the user entered a negative number. If so, the program should print a message saying that a nonnegative number is required and ask the user the enter another number. The program should keep doing this until the user enters a nonnegative number, after which it should compute the factorial of that number. Hint: you will need another while loop before the loop that computes the factorial. You should not need to change any of the code that computes the factorial!
Here is what I have typed out so far into Java. I have it all programmed out correctly for the part where it responds to it not being a negative number, but the only problem is that after I compile and execute it, when the black box pops up on the screen, I type in a nonnegative number, but then after that the factorial doesn’t pop up! Here we see that you have defined integer as an int. You have also defined Fact as an int too.
Why have you defined integer as an int?
Also with Fact being an int why are you testing it against 0.0?
0.0 is a floating point value. You should be comparing like with like

You are allowing 0 to terminate the program.
I don't think that that is what is required.
I think that you have to output the value 1 if 0 is input.
I also think that you should have another way of terminating the program like input x.

Here goes but this is not going to be easy as you have a lot of information that needs to be digested.
Question 1.
int sum=1, integer, Fact;
Here we see that you have defined integer as an int. You have also defined Fact as an int too.
Why have you defined integer as an int?
Also with Fact being an int why are you testing it against 0.0?
0.0 is a floating point value. You should be comparing like with like
so
if (Fact%26gt;0)
"And you'll need to think about what should happen if the user enters 0."
You are allowing 0 to terminate the program.
I don't think that that is what is required.
I think that you have to output the value 1 if 0 is input.
I also think that you should have another way of terminating the program like input x.

I want to just give the answer but then you will never learn. I want to help in a way that you will learn and progress.
So
Start loop with a while test (sum%26lt;LIMIT)
Now add nextVal to sum. This will sum all on the even numbers
Increment nextVal by 2. This will get the next even number.
If this is the first time through the loop then I want count to now be 1. This is the problem that you need to solve.
So add 1 to count.
End loop.
So what was the value of count at the start of the program which will give a first pass through the loop a value of 1 in count?
