First of all, you cannot save projects in the demo version, so don't bother making the best beats in the world, they will automatically delete when you turn FL off.
As for the rest, it is quite self-explanatory actually. You have a sequencer where you can load samples in. Make a nice pattern of e.g. a kick (just try 4x 1 kick). Then you make another pattern with e.g. a cool hihat, etc. etc. Then you go to the playlist. Put your pattern in there. Click play (make sure you have it on "song" and not "pattern", et voila: you made your first beat.
