Fruity Loops and synth keyboard?

Anyone who is familiar with Fruity Loops might know of the feature that lets you use your regular keyboard as a piano.

My question.

Is it possible to connect a synthesizer keyboard like the Korg X50 or the Yamaha MM6 and use it with fruity loops?

I would like to use the synthesizer keyboard with fruity loops instead the qwerty keyboard.

Has anyone done this?

I am NOT looking to do audio out from keyboard or anything.

Thank you

Fruity Loops and synth keyboard?
Absolutely. All the keyboard needs is MIDI In/Out ports, which both the X50 and the MM6 have. You'll just need some means of connecting them to your computer. You probably don't have MIDI ports on your soundcard, so just get a USB MIDI interface. This one is good:

You'll be amazed at how much that simple addition will open up your production abilities. Not only will you be able to use the keys, but you can make the knobs and sliders on the synth operate the knobs and sliders in FL Studio. It's very-hands on, which is a nice alternative to poin-and-click production.

To be fair, though, the sounds from those synths will dwarf any of the sounds in FL Studio, so you'll probably want to hook up audio at some point, as well.

Good Luck
