When you tie your shoes, which hand do you hold the first loop in?

If you are right handed, do you hold the first loop in your right or left hand while you tie the other end of the lace around it? If you are a lefty, which hand holds the first loop? Or do you make two loops and tie them together? There really is more than one way to tie your shoes!

right hand dominant. i make a loop with my right hand, wrap the other lace around, and tuck it under the first with my left hand. used to do bunny ears, though, mainly because i prefered calling them 'bunny ears' rather than the 'loop-di-loo'.

Reply:I make 2 loops but I always make the loop first with my right, then with my left. Or, I dunt tie my shoe laces at all and trip, or I wear slip on or velcro shoes.

Reply:Umm i am right handed so i would hold the first loop with my left hand. And if you are a lefty then you hold the first loop with the right hand i think.

Reply:I'm a righty, and hold the first loop in my right hand. One of my daughters is a lefty, and she holds the first loop in her left hand. My other daughter is a righty, and she does some crazy thing with a loop in each hand!

Reply:I actually don't even make two loops! I do one loop with my right hand (because I'm right handed), then I wrap the left lace around my right fingers and pull the right loop through that. Weird huh? I don't think anyone taught me that.. it just worked and I kept doing it.
