Help with keyboard connection to computer with Fruity loops 7!!!!?

Hello Everyone i have an ashton ak 250 keyboard, a mistar midilink(midi to usb) for it and fruity loops 7. Now i have many problems:


i have connected the usb part of the cable to the part to the computers usb port and the midi "in" %26amp; "out" parts to their respective connections on my piano the computer says it has discovered the keyboard but simply says instrument and hardware installed now when i enter fruity lopps i go to midi settings and to midi imports and outports it simply says usb device in the imports which i assume is my piano i have no idea what remote i have to choose but when i choose generic remote it says drivers not installed and i received no software with the cable or piano i am at a complete loss at what to do i wish to record and control the piano roll on fl via my piano keyboard i would like to know how to do this and to connect my keyboard successfully to my pc any help would be greatly appreciated sorry about the length but i thought detail would be important

OK, first connect one thing at the time and restart your PC every time you do this (only for the first time until all is sorted, after that you wont need to do this) by doing this you will know exactly witch of the peripherals is giving you problems.


If what your PC is asking is for the drivers and you do not have a disk, do a google search by typing the name of the manufacturer and the word drivers after, this should bring you to a page where you can download the drivers free.


Once you've done this come back and let me know if it worked, if not we try a few other things :)

Sorry could not had a comment earlier. check that the sound card drivers are up to date, do a Google search with the name of your sound card manufacturer and add the word drivers to it, it should come up with a link to where you can download drivers, let me know if you cant do this:) Report It
