Its worth it because you get the tour plus hop on hop off lets you visit different areas of the city at you own pace and spend time in areas that interest you. Definately do the night loop.

I thought is was worth it for a first time in the city.
We Did top and bottom loops all the way around one day as it as soo hot and it was nice to see the sights and have a bit of a breeze in such hot weather! (We went in summer)
We also used it to hop on and hop off.
And we did the night tour which goes over to Brooklyn this was great, though it hurt our eyes with the wind so maybe take sun glasses or something to proceted your eyes.
For a second time i wouldn't reccomened it's a sorta done it, don't wanna do it again because you've seen it. And it's not as fun.
Plus you know your way around.
