How do you get cub scout belt loops?

Hello Yurietda C:

Your son can earn the belt loops by doing a few tasks in an area of interest. There are loads of non-contact sports loops, such as softball, skiing, and swimming, as well as academic loops for chess. If your son is very interested in the subject, the BSA also offers pins for the activity. The pins require more in-depth study and longer participation.

Visit the US Scouting Service Project site at http://www.usscouts.org/advance/cubscout... for more information.

If you mean the metal slides that the boys put on their belts, these are from project completions and are usually awarded by the troop leaders at Blue and Gold Banquets or end of the year activities. If you're trying to replace a lost one, ask your Scoutmaster to buy one for you from your Council store. Their completed project cards have to be submitted to Council before they can be purchased, just like Boy Scout merit badges.
