How long after not taking Bi-Polar medication do you start looping out?
Multiple medications can be prescribed for bi polar. The old standby is lithium. Now days many docs prescribe a mood stabilizer and an anti depressant. Others may give a major tranquilizer. It's individual.
"Looping out" is also individual. There is not a one size fits all on this one.
Reply:i haven't took my medicine in two years i have it on stand by in case i need it. it's called geodon. theirs also topamax. i take vitamin b-12 it's a natural approach i don't like the way medicine makes me feel. i think you can learn to control this after you have it so long
Reply:I've been off meds for about 2 years or so now. I'm not 'looped out'. And I couldn't possibly list all the junk they had me taking.

Reply:well i am on litium well in other words i am suppose to take it i havent took in in two weeks and nothing has happened to me yet. it is different for every person some might take awhile before looping out. wel good luck ask your doc if it is very concering to you or you need deeper info about it
